I'll be honest - Croatia isn't somewhere I've been yet, but after sending many clients there and hearing their incredible feedback, it's at the top of my travel wishlist.
My lovely client, Abbie, celebrated her 30th birthday there and came back absolutely raving about it. Click here to read all about her adventure.

What strikes me most is how many of my clients choose multi-centre trips when visiting Croatia, and it makes complete sense.
With flights into both the north and south, plus the ease of getting around by car, local buses or boats, you can pack so much into one holiday.
Croatia is a country where medieval walled cities meet turquoise bays; where you can wake up in a UNESCO-listed old town, hop on a short ferry and end the day on an island terrace watching the sunset with a glass of local wine in hand.
That mix of culture, coast and island-hopping make Croatia a perfect multi-centre destination. Whether you're travelling as a couple, a family or with friends, it's easy to combine cities, islands and even neighbouring Montenegro in one trip.
Spring and autumn are especially appealing - May, June, September and October bring warm weather, fewer crowds and better value.
Families will love the adventure: kayaking, cycling, paddle boarding and boat trips; couples might prefer boutique hotels, private transfers and quiet coves; and groups can charter a yacht or join a small-ship cruise.
Getting Around

Travelling between cities and islands is simple: drive at your own pace on good roads, hop on short ferries, or let me arrange private transfers. Fly-drives suit those who like freedom, while small-ship cruises are perfect for a slower rhythm - tiny ports, hidden coves, life unfolding at its own pace.
Food & Wine
Italian influences mean pasta, wood-fired pizza and gelato, but Croatia's real stars are local: oysters from Ston, olive oils, Kvarner Bay scampi, grilled fish, and wonderful wines. From seaside konobas to Michelin stars, eating here is as varied as the landscape.
Island Highlights
Croatia has over 1,000 islands, most easily reached by ferry or catamaran. Here are a few favourites:
Hvar
The sunniest island in the Adriatic, with Venetian architecture, lavender fields, vineyards and lively nightlife. Explore chic Hvar Town, climb to the fortress for panoramic views, wander Stari Grad's quiet streets, or take a boat to the Pakleni Islands.
Brac
Known for Zlatni Rat beach, olive groves and limestone quarries (including the one that supplied stone for the White House). Towns like Bol, Supetar and Postira each offer their own charm.
Korcula
Often linked to Marco Polo, Korcula blends medieval streets, vineyards and hidden coves. Its Old Town is a maze of narrow alleys, squares and stone houses, with local wines and seafood to savour.
Twin-Centre Inspiration
Korcula & Dubrovnik
Combine laid-back island life with the drama of Dubrovnik's medieval walls.
Cavtat & Montenegro
Relax in Cavtat's pretty harbour before crossing into Montenegro for Budva's beaches and old town buzz.
Where To Stay

From boutique hideaways in old towns to stylish coastal resorts, Croatia has hotels full of character. For Dubrovnik, I often recommend Hotel More – a lovely boutique hotel right on the seafront with stunning views over Lapad Bay.
It even has a quirky Cave Bar carved into the cliffs – such a cool spot for cocktails! There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the Old Town is just a quick bus ride away. It's that perfect mix of luxury, relaxation and history, all by the Adriatic.
When To Book
For sunshine, fewer crowds and value, May and September are ideal. The most charming boutique hotels and small-ship cruises get snapped up early, so booking ahead for 2026 is wise.
There are some brilliant offers right now, like a Croatia cruise departing on 9 May 2026 with savings of £688 per couple (from £1,790pp half board).
I'm proud to work with Croatia specialists, Prestige Travel, who offer first-hand tips on the best hotels and places to visit. They're brilliant at putting together multi-centre trips, and since they only work with hotels they've handpicked, you know you're getting somewhere tried and tested.
Most importantly, I have complete peace of mind knowing everything's properly organised and protected for my clients.
If you'd like to explore Croatia beyond the beach, I can help create a tailor-made trip combining cities, coast and islands - whether it's a romantic escape, family adventure or group celebration.
Based on all the wonderful feedback I've received, I can't wait to experience this extraordinary country for myself!
