When Julie got in touch in June 2025, she had a very special trip in mind - two weeks in Greece to celebrate a 40th wedding anniversary, split across two different islands. After looking at the options together, Skiathos and Skopelos felt exactly right. It turned out they were the perfect choices...

Having just returned from our holiday, I just wanted to say a big thank you from both of us. We had the best time - we absolutely loved both Skiathos and Skopelos and couldn't believe just how beautiful both islands were. The scenery, the beaches, the light - everything we had hoped for and more.

We enjoyed a private boat trip which was amazing, and on Skopelos we hired a jeep and went all over the island - visiting the iconic chapel and the beach made famous by Mamma Mia. The beaches we found along the way were absolutely beautiful, accessed by driving through the most extraordinary scenery.

We had fantastic meals at excellent restaurants recommended to us by locals and fellow hotel guests - always the best kind of recommendation.

We loved both hotels.

Kassandra Bay stood out slightly, and the reason was simple - the staff were outstanding. They came across as genuinely warm and caring, nothing was too much trouble and they all seemed to truly love what they do. We used the water taxi to get into town which was a lovely experience in itself.

We did experience a 24-hour power cut at the Skopelos Village Hotel which was a little challenging - the hotel had a generator but it didn't extend to the rooms. A few small things could have been handled better during that time, though the team did allow us to charge our phones at the restaurant and use the gym facilities. Despite that hiccup, we really liked the hotel - the location was perfect for getting into town and the outlook was simply beautiful.

We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would love to return to both islands in the future.

Thank you, Amanda, for making this one so wonderful. We will definitely be in touch again for our next special occasion.
